- Leaves are alternately arranged and glossy

- Very easy to propagate by cuttings
- Seldom blooms
- Native to Solomon Islands in South Pacific
- Same family as "Taro Root" of Captain Cook and Captain Bligh fame
- "Epi" means "upon" and "premnon" means
"trunk"....naturally this plant is a vine that grows over the trunks of trees
