• Native Americans called it "White Man's Foot" because everywhere European settlers went this plant followed
• Leaves occur as a rosette
• Leaves have 3 to 5 main veins that run the length of each leaf
• Leaves are long and narrow (which distinquishes them from "Broadleaf Plantain")
• Blooms in the spring
