- Produces large fleshy rhizomes

- Native to Africa
- Prefers low lights
- Different varieties can be either solid green or variegated (like above photo on
the right side)
- "Chloro" is Greek for "green, and "-phytum" means
"plant
- Makes good ground cover or hanging basket
