1. Open your Video analysis data file and
highlight the three columns for the mouse of interest. Then right-click on
the highlighted area and copy the data.
2. On a new sheet right click on the A1
cell and paste the data.
3. From the file menu choose Save As...
4. Under the Save as type menu choose
"Text (MS-DOS)(*.txt).
5. Put in the file name and hit the Save
button.
6. If you get a warning message (or
anything like it) press the OK button.
7. Again, press the OK button (we don't
need no stinking formatting).
8. Switch to or open Zero Maze and
navigate to your menu.
9. Double-click on the file name and the
data are shown. A chi-square analysis assuming no difference in time spent
is generated. Change the output file name if you like and then press the
Save Data button.
10. This is what your data looks like. It
is tab-deliminated text that can be imported into Excel or your statistics
package.
