Firstly, let me say that my armband is considered symbolic speech, which is protected under the 1st Amendment. This is why it is considered under the arguement of "free speech."

National socialism is not synonymous with white supremacy. My symbol is not a swastika. The Nazis were just as interested in wiping my cultural heritage, that of the Slavs, as everyone else's who wasn't white and German. I am not a Nazi, nor am I an American Nazi, neo-Nazi, etc. I am a national socialist. I believe in:

- A strong, centralized national government consisting of one political p
arty.
- The prosecution of war profiteering.
- The nationalization of the largest corporations.
- Government subsidies for small business and government encouragement of entrepreneurship.
- The establishment of a fair national healthcare system regardless of social status, age, gender, and income.
- The establishment of a welfare system for orphans, widows, and pensioners (retirees).
- Rule by committee, not by a single individual.
- Stricter border patrol to prevent illegal aliens from entering the United States.
- Freedom of religion, expression, and speech similar in terms to the current interpretation of the First Ammendment.
- Preservation of current national parks as a means of preserving our natural heritage.
- As little involvement in foreign politics as is possible; we live in a global environment, but the United States does not need to engage itself in wars to oust dictators or prevent conflicts between nations unless specifically requested by either country.

I do not believe in the idea of genocide nor its practical application. I am interested in hardworking Americans, regardless of race, but also those willing to work not only for themselves but for their community and their country. While some have said that my wearing my armband is dividing the Bellarmine community, I am doing nothing of the sort. I am willing and able to make this community a better place and to improve on an already great school. Ask me to help with any school project and, assuming that I don't have any academic obligiations that conflict with it, I will help you willingly.

The only thing I vehemntly oppose and find personally offensive is Communism. Would I prevent a student from wearing an armband that had a hammer and sickle on it? No. That student would have every right as an American to wear that armband.
