Animal Trainers of Robots

Aibos are permitted to interact with two dogs, a sun conure parrot, and a cat. Their interactions with these animals changes the robot's behavioral programs in surprising ways.

Aibos like Bobo (a sun conure) since she is brightly-colored and makes a lot of noise. Aibos ignore Xena for the most part since she isn't "fooled" by them and generally avoids the robots (or perhaps she's weirded-out by them). See an i-Cybie reacting to Bobo here. From observing the behavior of the robots and Bobo, I suspect that they are similar in their complexity. I intend on measuring this by comparing the behavioral sequences using Markov chain analysis and Shannon-Weaver information theory.
