Palm Science Stuff
- Pen Record and Pen Review allow you to record the behavior of animals
or humans under field conditions. Any alphanumeric can be assigned a behavior (say
"e" for "eat"), and when you enter that behavior through the Graffiti
input, the time of the behavior and it's code are entered into the palm database. Pen
review provides some simple statistics, a time line, and transition matrix for your data.
Get the set with a tutorial here.

- EZ Record and Pen Review allow you to record the behavior of animals
or humans under field conditions. Behaviors are recorded by pressing a button to which
you've assigned a behavior. Pen review provides some simple statistics, a time line, and
transition matrix for your data. Get the set with a tutorial here.
- Track allows you to track the movements and behavior or an animal or
person on a map. Intended for behavioral ecologists. The X/Y coordinates, time, and
behavior can be extracted from the data file. Get it here.
- Counter. Use the palm buttons to count the number of bacteria in a
culture, times a behavior was seen, etc. This keeps your counts and allows you to save
them in a database. Get it here.
- Insect Order Key. Get it here.
Palm Fun Stuff
- Cop Badge for the Palm OS: Flip
open your palm to display this handy cop badge! Then use your badge to bully and
intimidate strangers! Lots of laughs; especially when you order them to come with you at
gunpoint! Great for getting someone to volunteer for those "special"
experiments.
- Beer Mat. Protect your investment
in your furniture with beer mat for the Palm OS. This program instantly changes your Palm
Computer into a beer coaster to protect the wood finish of your desk from messy
condensation rings.
- Braille. This
program translates your Graffiti input into Braille. Not much use, but
interesting....
- Dog-B-Gone. This
exciting application emits a 241 decibel ultrasonic noise that is beyond your hearing, but
can be heard by dogs, cats, rats, and many other animals. Use it to protect yourself from
stray dogs or werewolves. Set it off in a park and watch the squirrels drop out of the
trees. Wait until a blind person begins to cross a busy intersection, then disorient their
guide dog. Set it off at a pet show and watch the fun!
- Eye Test. Why pay an
optometrist to check your eyes when you can do it yourself! This is a standard
scientific-quality, high decibel, low distortion, battery-powered, fully operational eye
chart. Just increase your distance from the chart until you can read it.
- IQ for the Palm OS. Press the
test button and your brain waves are instantly scanned by your palm device. Your
intelligence quotient (IQ) is then neatly displayed on your palm device. Discover why
everyone is laughing at you!
- Mirror. Look in the mirror and
read the message! Lots of laughs, even though the joke is on you!
- Morse Code. This totally
useless program translates Graffiti input into Morse code!
- Windows 98 Simulator. Win98
brings the complete Windows computing experience to the Palm OS (COLOR ONLY). Not only is
it slow, unstable, and cumbersome, it is heavily bloated and chews up over 300K of your
valuable palm resources! No longer be envious of CE owners with their big memory needs,
fast processors, and low battery warnings. You can now have it all! Just think! Now you'll
be as familiar with your Palm's reset button as you are with the Microsoft three-finger
salute (Ctrl-Alt-Delete)!
- Bubble Wrap Simulator
Download this exciting program and transform your color palm pilot into a
bubble wrap simulator! After starting the program, press firmly on the
simulated bubbles and enjoy the soothing crackling sound as your screen
shatters. Once all the bubbles have been popped you can mail your PDA back
to Palm to restore the screen for a small fee so you can run the simulator
again.
