Chirp Analysis of Dosed and Control Crickets.

Gryllid.gif (77013 bytes) Crickets were dosed with 10 microliters of 10-3 or 10-5 malation for 24 hr. Control crickets were exposed to deionized water for 24 hr.

Gryllid00.gif (3450 bytes) Chirp patterns were digitized and analyzed on the computer.

Gryllid01.gif (8263 bytes) Cricket chirp rate is reduced by exposure to malathion. In addition, control crickets have a shorter chirp length than dosed animals.
